Why is having my own sub-domain so important?
Having your own sub-domain is very important these days because you can track your traffic easier than having a blog on example.com/username. Why? Because services like Alexa (see alexa.com) track individual sub-domains, which gives you access to more detailed statistics.
How can you offer such a service for free?
While we provide our service at no cost, we display small ads on your blog. We use the Google Adsense program which brings relavant, text-based ads that fit into your blog. Google Ads are non-intrusive and do not add additional load (unlike image ads) to your blog.
